OK Hui here it is, updated with the miracle of photoshop, you are right I did think about the foreground/background thing, but I wanted the heart to be kind of subtle, cause I find hearts to be so kitschy to begin with.

ReplyDeleteon a more serious note, i dig the colors. although, i kinda wish you used lighter values (or maybe more pastely colours) for the background patterns as to make the heartshape stand out a bit more.
i see what you mean. the contrast is a bit too much in version 2.
ReplyDeleteif subtlety is what you wished to achieve, i think the upper left part of the heart seems a bit disconnected with the rest of the heart. mostly because of the contrast between the peachy color and the rest of the image. when i squint my eyes, that's first thing i see.
